Got my confirmation for Nov. 18th yesterday. I guess I'm excited. At least I know something.

Still no word on a panhandle class......... :waiting:

Actually, DPS told a friend of mine they do not have any plans for a Lubbock class. Probably that's as close to the 'Panhandle' as they would get.

Pretty sad. There's a good number of us up here. Oh well, not the first time west Texas has been treated like step children.

Still waiting on word to see if I get into any of the Mesquite classes :waiting:
I know they must be pulling their hair out at the DPS. Legislature makes law changes without also allowing for the overtime and personnel it takes to implement them and not much time to do so.

Ok, finally figured out the hold up. The website showed everything received and waiting for the Instructor class. But, that was not exactly accurate. I called them and was told there was a note in my file that said the certs I sent were not acceptable. It was just an honest mistake on their part. The first item listed on my NRA certs is HFS with Pistol after that. To a quick glance, it could be taken as the wrong cert. Christi asked me to resend the original email with the documents to her directly and she quickly corrected the problem. Thanks, Christi! :thumbs2:

Hopefully, I will still be able to get into one of the Mesquite classes in a few weeks. I appreciated that I was passed along to speak directly to her. It made it easy to get the misunderstanding cleared up. She admitted it has been busy around there.

Hmmm... I just got a second invite to the same class I've already been invited to. If I attend it twice, can I get a cert that lasts 4 years? :evil2:

Ok, now that is just going too far. I have been asking for one for one of those classes with no luck so far. But you guys are getting two. I'm starting to feel unwanted. :biggrinjester:

Just a quick question: Is TEEX – NTRTC | Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service an educational institution for purpose of CHL carry? I only have my phone right now and internet access is sketchy at best.
