I am trying to be patient but I shot there as a guest last week and it made me antsy again. Lots of facility improvements going on. Any info is appreciated .

I am in the same boat. I used to be a member, but let it go a few years ago. I have been on the wait list and am eager to get back my membership status. I still get all the emails -- they are a reminder of what i'm missing out on! I would also like an update on quickly or slowly they are adding members.
If you haven't been there recently you will not believe the changes and improvements that have occurred and are still occurring.

Funny routine. I had all their albums way back when, along with the Kingston Trio.

According to the website, they've stopped adding to the waiting list (over 1100 right now) & plan to work through as much of it as possible. The membership renewal period ended a few months ago, so they're starting up new member orientations soon.

What I remember is that Membership renewals are from April till June 31st after that they evaluate the number of non renewals and start offering new memberships. I think they are doing orientations through November. So far about half of those contacted to come to orientation are coming to meetings. If they are a no show then there name is removed from the wait list. Moral of the story is if you get an invitation come to the orientation.

I was a member, but my membership lapsed due to a coming together of a lot of events that took priority and I forgot about the renewal. So I'm back on the wait list. [sigh].

This is exactly what the membership director said is happening and why he cautioned us about the renewal period. He also said that he thought that 3 months was an adequate amount of time to get a renewal in. I hope that you have another opportunity to reapply.

Be patient, cricket. My daughter decided to join and was remiss each time I reminded her to sign up. Then when membership closed she had to get on the list. She's now a member and had her first renewal this year. She didn't put it off this year.

Yes, it's plenty of time. But for a while it went so far back on the priorities list I forgot about it. Life happens I guess.

For those still on the wait list, today I heard from someone who just received their invitation to attend the orientation meeting. So at least for now they are still filling memberships from the wait list. So for now good luck and hang in there.
