Tax Reminder

#1

Post by SwimFan85 »

If you filed an extension, your tax return is due Tuesday. There is no additional extension for the shutdown.

The Internal Revenue Service site is still up if you need forms or want to e-file. Unlike the National Park Service.

Filed mine the other day. Plan on filing early next year.

That's the best plan if you can do it. This was my first extension. The beginning of April came and I still didn't have one K-1 so I filed the extension. Then I got lazy. :banghead:

Same here - didn't get the K-1 until the first of Oct. Hopefully it's the last one for that endeavor.

That last K-1 you were waiting was finished by Sept 15 (because that's when it was due). So it took them 2 weeks to mail that K-1 to you... just an FYI. I don't know if you care or not but (in my opinion) two weeks is way too long to simply get a K-1 dropped in the mail (or even email).

It was done Sep 15, just not done correctly.
