Re: Cop carrying a gun: Asked not to wear uniform at a schoo
The OP gave me a different impression than the lunacy described in the article. I thought he was alluding to armed security at the school, in which case, not being in uniform might make sense, as it wouldn't be obvious to a psycho who he needed to take out first --like the Navy Yard shooter. However, there are two classes of idiots in this incident: the idiot parents and the idiot administrator who passed along their stupidity instead of calling them on it.

I read in one article that the school has now complained on the officer for his facebook post, so in the end the officer will probably get disciplined
Here is another article showing what he posted. Personally if my kid went to that school I would start wearing my uniform while dropping them off and would hope others would do the same.
His post is in this article and I don't have an issue with it. I hope his FB page didn't show where he worked as most agencies have heavy social media policies.

“Nothing like your kids school calling and asking if I could not come to pick up my daughter in uniform cause parents were concerned when their kids came home telling them there was a man at school with a gun. Are you freaking kidding me?”

99% of the comments I read in response to that Blaze story were very to extremely supportive of the LEO, they were good reading. Here's a typical retort:
"This is the height of stupidity! A man with a gun? That’s what you call a guy that shows up with a gun, sans uniform. Maybe he was there to arrest the kid that bit his pop-tart into the shape of a gun? How did educators become the most ignorant among us?"

Nothing will ever change until people start demanding these so called "educators" stick to educating and knock off the PC indoctrination. Fire the bums.

For many years ago, too many college students get shunted into education because they are too stupid to pass any other major.
I have seen it over and over again. This is not to say that all educators are idiot, however. Also, forty to fifty years ago, the leftists made a concerted to take over education and turn it into left-wing indoctrination. Now, a conservative or a Constitutionalist has about as much chance of a successful career as college faculty as a snowball has of survival in the infernal regions.

Dude, before you start criticizing people who choose education as a career, you might want to take the time to proofread your post.EconDoc wrote:For many years ago, too many college students get shunted into education because they are too stupid to pass any other major.![]()

yea he night need to proofread, but its still a valid point, most of the people that are teaching college have a very liberal view of things, some of them do make everyone that doesn't believe the way they do feel subhuman or do their best to do so. I have had some of my instructors get downright angry when I disagree with the leftist drivel they spout and even had one try and fail me in class for not agreeing with the guns are bad and criminals are just misunderstood little good boys and girls, I reject this categorically and don't even have to think about it. I told the instructor they were moving targets
and yes I got an F in that class till I went to the dean

My sister-in-law seemed solidly conservative... Until she went to UTSA later in life. Now she is militantly liberal, and far on the fringe at that. And what do you know? She is an English professor now. Guess, what she does, besides teaching English... She gives out assignments to her students that include and disseminate progressive topics and ideas that are hidden under noble terms, e.g. Social Justice, Fairness Doctrine, etc. These seemingly innocuous terms are completely unfamiliar to the young generation, whose minds she is molding. And thus, the liberal brainwashing begins.JP171 wrote:yea he night need to proofread, but its still a valid point, most of the people that are teaching college have a very liberal view of things, some of them do make everyone that doesn't believe the way they do feel subhuman or do their best to do so. What was done to her is now being done by her. Very sad. She is absolutely out of control...

Most of them are out of control, they really believe the stuff they are trying to drill into the heads of our future. They have been so indoctrinated that they really don't see what is happening or if they do see it they rationalize it. it is really sad and disturbing. They really don't see how what they are doing leads us into the 5th state of civilization development and then to the final stage, when it comes they will be dumbfounded and not understand what and where it went wrong
Re: Cop carrying a gun: Asked not to wear uniform at a schoo
Interesting how this thread changed from a public school administrators response to a parents complaint into a discussion of liberal college professors. This may not be true for some states or even parts of Texas, but the public school teachers I'm familiar with and work with in East Texas are some of the most caring, conservative, and Godly group of individuals there are. They certainly aren't trying to "shove" liberal ideas at students. I applaud them.

You are right about some Texas public school teachers. My aunt is one of the heroes... As to the discussion shift, I guess, everyone looks at issue through the prism of his experiences and personal headaches... Those of us with kids dread their college years, even if we do our best to instill the right values from the early years, because liberalism is not just an ideology, it's a religion.treeman wrote:Interesting how this thread changed from a public school administrators response to a parents complaint into a discussion of liberal college professors. As an educator myself, I often get in trouble for not being PC enough. I am going to call it like I see it. So the reaction from my boss is sometimesrbwhatever1 wrote:Nothing will ever change until people start demanding these so called "educators" stick to educating and knock off the PC indoctrination.
