Shot my second hand PPS today...

LOVED IT!!!

I couldn't believe how well it shot for such a small gun!

250 flawless rounds with only a few failures for the slide to lock back on the last round. Could have been limp wristing towards the end of the session as I don't specifically recall the issue happening when we first started shooting and my buddy didn't have any issues with the slide not wanting to lock back.

I think getting rid of my P238 for it was a great decision and I won't look back.
So glad to have this pistol. Now I just need to get my carry ammo run though it so I can feel comfortable carrying it.

PPS is on my short list. Might need a bigger safe first.

Not really. It doesn' take up that much room.

I find that 127gr Speer Gold Dot run very well in mine. It doesn't seem to like the 147gr rounds but maybe I just haven't found the right ones yet.

I grew to like the pps after shooting a bunch of different guns, and bought one as my first gun. I just never had a misfeed or problem with it, found I was very accurate with it, and it feels like it absorbs some of the recoil better than most guns that size. I did discover that my +p personal protection ammo shot a bit differently, so I always run a dozen or so rounds of that whenever I get to the range.

I love my PPS and have had no problems at all with 147gr. I shoot Federal HST and American Eagle (for practice). I haven't had any problems with the slide either.

I'm curious.
I've got some 124gr +P Ranger-T that was a little more than I was expecting out of my XD(first time shooting +P anything).
Wondering how they'd run in my PPS. Guess we'll find out on my next day off.
Is there anyone who just doesn't care do the +P variety?

I've shot 124+P in the PPS, and didn't really notice much of a difference than regular pressure. That was when I was trying to decide on carrying 124+P or 147. I ended up deciding on 147.

I'm short on extra money right now and hours are being cut so it'll be a while before I can test some different loads to see what I and the gun like best.

The PPS is a great gun (it was my first pistol bought for carry when I went for my CHL a few years ago). Walther says that you CAN shoot +P, but it will reduce the lifetime of the gun with the higher pressures on the parts that move and slide against each other (there is a statement about that in my PPS manual - maybe it's not there in the newer versions).

I probably won't end up using the +P stuff.
Looking at different videos on YouTube an load data from the manufacturer the difference in ft/s and energy is negligible to me.
I don't think anyone's every said "Thank goodness I only get shot with a standard pressure round and not a +P one!"
