Shooters League?
Does anyone know of any kind of shooter's league in/around Montgomery County? Not sure if I am asking this right.
In Maryland they have I guess NRA league's that shoot at the local range. Many women involved at a Women on Target workshop and I was wondering if there is such a sport around here.
TIA

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

cmbrust,
If you're interested, I will be there at 8:30 on June 10 for IDPA. CompVest (wife of SRVA) will likely be there as well, but only she can confirm that.
It will cost you a total of $18, and you'll need to bring your own ammo. (SRVA or CompVest can give you an accutate number, but I usually bring about 150-200 rounds.)
Here is the breakdown of the $18:
$10 range fees--paid to the range itself.
$7 IDPA fee--think of it as a game fee.
$1 insurance--this is only once a year. When you show up in July, you won't pay this.
I hope you'll be out there--it's a lot of fun.

yup She meant the 9th.
Uh and the 1 time annual insurance is $10 so it would be $27 the first saturday match and $17 thereafter. Wensday Night fun match is $10 range fee and $4 match fee.
Next wensday (June 6) is a BUG (BackUp Gun) fun match. This means you can use your small revolver/Auto (S&W 2 inch, Bersa Thunder 380 etc). All stages are based upon 6 rounds and if you don't have a legal holster you can start with gun on barrel. You don't have to use a BUG. Only 38 rounds minimum needed for the whole match.
There are several other ladies who shoot occasionally at thunder but Donna is almost always there.

Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.
