If he pays for life insurance as requested, does he get to be the beneficiary?

Article says he had a gun and was making threats. Doesn't say he pulled the gun on her. She could just know that he carries and assumed he had the gun and interpreted the comments as threats. We need to hear more before we know for sure.

Zimmerman's wife won't press charges despite call
Shellie Zimmerman, who has filed for divorce, initially told a 911 dispatcher that her husband had his hand on his gun as he sat in his car outside the home she was at with her father. She said she was scared because she wasn't sure what Zimmerman was capable of doing. But hours later she changed her story and said she never saw a firearm, said Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell.

I'd say not arrested yet. The state can prosecute a DV without the victim wanting to do so. They will review the video and go from there. It is quite common for the victim to change their story after the fact as they realize the implications of their "loved" one getting arrested.

I will bet he doesn't get arrested. I think the wife was blowing things out of proportion on the call. And, she even stated 'he's in his car and has his hand on his gun and telling us not to come closer....' Well, if he is in his car he not a threat. Go back into the house and call the police, but don't stand outside antagonizing him.

Bottom line, people in the midst of divorce many times exagerate or let their imagination run wild in a heated argument and think the other person is gonna try and do all kinds of bad things to them. I think once she calmed down she realized that she and the Dad may have been just as much at fault of escalating any argument than GZ.
