Jane Fonda is playing Nancy Reagan in the movie “The Butler”. What a slap in the face to a classy, patriotic woman, to be portrayed by a murderous traitor.

From what I've read about it, the story is a complete lie - not at all what happened. I wouldn't walk across the street to spit on Jane Fonda if she was burning to death, but the movie has much bigger problems than just her. He was born in Virginia, not Georgia. He never witnessed a lynching. His mother wasn't raped by an overseer. His father wasn't shot for looking upset about the rape. His son did serve in Vietnam but was not killed there. His son was not a civil rights activist and never participated in the Freedom Rides. His wife wasn't a philandering alcoholic. Other than that, the picture is based on the truth.

Yeah, I won't be watching it either.

Movie theater owner will not show the Butler because of Fonda.

Nancy wasn't that old and was prettier.

My memory, the POW's said they got beaten extra hard before and after her visits.

Saigon fell on 30 April 1975. I wasn't there but I do remember the event. Nearly 40 years and some 60,000 dead Americans later, someone please tell me what the Viet Nam War accomplished.
