Even though it says that, it also says "Springfield Armory U.S.A.", so I am sure that the purchase of this gun benefits our economy: the Springfield Armory in the US, the American gun shop owners, the american gun accessories manufacturers and vendors, the American ammo manufacturers, the American shooting ranges owners, etc...LAYGO wrote:I went to the store recently & was looking at the comparing the M&P 9c & Shield (both 9mm) & independently 3 different salesman at 2 different stores wanted me to look at the XDS9.
Bottom line, I wanted "Made in the USA" stamped on it, not "Made in Croatia".
I look at it very differently. If I didn't buy this gun, I wouldn't have bought a small gun at all, and that would have had no positive effect for anyone... Whereas now I am buying all kinds of things from the AMERICAN businesses I wouldn't have been buying — all that just because I bought a gun "made in Croatia." Overall effect on the US economy — positive... Small, but positive. I have spent about $300 on this gun in less than a week after buying it. And that's that.
