The NRA says that alcohol and guns don't mix. I dunno... I tend to agree. Mostly though, I just wanted to be sure and get in on what has to be the five hundredths post about the exact same topic... Lol. Maybe we should make one of the "drunkin gun toter" threads a sticky.

You know? I just came up with a great idea!! A shooting range... With a bar!! I wonder if getting a liquor license would be hard for a shooting range? Imagine the fun!! The video alone would be worth a fortune on you tube!

Pour in the glass. Hold it up and show it to the faucet. Enjoy.

Their rules for the VIP club are very strict. The valet locks your firearms in the vault and you can't retrieve them until the next day. And you can't shoot after drinking either.

:iagree: Maybe a splash of water, depending on the Scotch, but ice just kills them for me.

If that's true, why do they keep trying to sell me wine?

Alcohol is good for cleaning guns. Make sure you lube them well after cleaning.

Oh... It's true alright. Copy and paste from the NRA firearm safety rules list... "Never use alcohol or over-the-counter, prescription or other drugs before or while shooting.
Alcohol, as well as any other substance likely to impair normal mental or physical bodily functions, must not be used before or while handling or shooting guns."

To answer why they would try sell you wine, I would venture a guess they expect a person old enough to buy wine to be old enough to know when and when not to consume it. I didn't know they sold wine. Interesting.

As for putting water in single malt... OMG!!! With one possible exception... A cask strength single malt... And then only a few drops.

I was fortunate to be invited to a private tasting at The Macallan, Speyside 11 years ago. Nosed from the barrel, then cut to about 130 with their spring water. Heaven!

One of our campers brought some Huckleberry wine to the cook-out tonight. Good thing I wasn't carryin', I might have 'started a fight or shot out some lights'. :smilelol5:
