Was I just not paying attention on Sunday to what he was saying then.

Was there an earlier post about pigs flying.
Do you have a link regarding this? What was the man doing that made her reasonably fear death or severe injury? And in what state did it happen?

No. Hit her, made repeated verbal sexual advances and had a knife. Texas (Houston).

Based on that, sounds like SYG to me. How'd she manage to grab a rifle without his stopping her? Since Mr. X is involved, i presume she's black? Minorities successfully use SYG far more often than whites.

Uh,oh. She shot at the ground and the bullet ricocheted . I don't think you can claim SYG for an ACCIDENTAL shooting.

Sounds like he owed HER money, and that's why she was there. And she was worried about his friends so she left, but she took the time to take a picture of the pocketknife? It case gets muddier and muddier.

Not specific to that case but I'm wondering how somebody has time to get a rifle out of a car but not have time to get in the car and lock the doors? Maybe it would be smart to drive away and call 911. MWAumbrella
