Feds want Zimmerman, any way they can get him

As a free man, especially one facing death threats from racist thugs, his best option is to get lost for a while. Grow some facial hair and lose weight. Maybe find a sympathetic JP in a rural county in his new state without online records to do a legal name change. I won't suggest fake ID because that would be illegal.
If the hit squads can't find him, they can't shoot or sue him.

The government possibly perusing civil rights charges against him just sickens me. It belittles the actual civil rights violations and all the work that was done in the past to create civil and equal rights laws.
To abuse those laws to go after a man because the federal government doesn't agree with the verdict of a jury of his peers is criminal.

It's made even worse that Martin profiled Zimmerman as a gay Anglo before attacking him. It doesn't matter that Zimmerman was Hispanic and, as far as we know, straight. What matters is what Martin believed before he assaulted Zimmerman and if he attacked him because he thought he was Anglo or because he thought he was gay, that was a Hate Crime.

actually its not illegal to use false identification as long as one is not committing a crime with the alter identity and not refusing to notify police officers of said alias

If he was driving with a fake license, or using the fake ID for employment, I think that would be illegal. Other than that, it seems like he could forego the fake ID and avoid the potential problems.
I really feel sorry for his parents who were ready to enjoy their Golden Years until their son was attacked by Martin, and then attacked by the MSM when he survived the first attack.

I sincerely apologize to anybody I offended by suggesting the Second Amendment also applies to The People who don't work for the government.

Re: Feds want Zimmerman, any way they can get him
His attorney, Mark O'Mara, made a comment in the post-verdict interviews that if anyone were to try and sue Zimmerman for something like wrongful death in civil court, he would absolutely prevail under the protects afforded by Florida law to concealed handgun license holders involved in good shootings. Zimmerman was not initially arrested because police viewed it as a righteous shoot. They were pressured to do so to the point where the local police chief had to resign. Jabba the Hutt......excuse me.... I mean Angela Corey deliberately did not haul Zimmerman before a grand jury because they would have no-billed him.........for the same reasons that the Sanford PD did not arrest and charge him. Instead, she circumvented the grand jury, using a Hearsay Affidavit to charge Zimmerman, to ensure that the case got to trial. She/they lost because they really had no case. After coming down on Zimmerman with the full weight of the government, they still lost. Zimmerman is not just "not guilty," he is INNOCENT, a concept that the media and even some board members here refuse to embrace, because we've forgotten as a culture that one of our core values is that an accused is innocent until proven guilty. If the state fails to prove guilt, the accused is STILL innocent. Their innocents is NEVER IN DOUBT if the prosecution fails to prove their case.Jeff B. wrote:If I understand the workings of Florida's laws, Zimmerman used a self defense argument in the recent court case. He is not provided civil immunity under those laws, but if sued could seek immunity under the Florida Stand You Ground laws.
Again, as I (non lawyer who did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night) understand it.
Jeff B.
Apparently, Zimmerman's attorney, who really does seem to know what he's talking about, believes that Florida law protects Zimmerman if things went his way at trial.

I've never heard of this... is this true? Are these criminal charges or civil? The U.S. Justice Department can open a civil rights case against anyone... the federal government can prosecute independently for the same act under the separate sovereigns exception to double jeopardy.

Only in the Vichy USA. The Constitution prohibits Double Jeopardy by the legitimate government of the USA. The domestic enemies of the Constitution don't care what limits exist on legitimate government for obvious reasons.McKnife wrote:I've never heard of this... is this true? The U.S. Justice Department can open a civil rights case against anyone... the federal government can prosecute independently for the same act under the separate sovereigns exception to double jeopardy.
