My 590 was already loaded.
One of my 1911s too.
Now the other is.
And my wife's XD9.
And my .32NAA.
And my wife's P238.
And my AR.
And if things really get nasty, My Garand.

The point was that a life was lost. Legal or not, GZ made some bad choices too. And even though he was acquitted, his actions will have consequences for him too. He may always have to be looking over his shoulder.

I disagree. If the system had worked this would have been a grand jury no bill. The system failed Zimmerman grossly. Thankfully he's not going to jail.

I agree jmra. He beat the rap but not the ride! He should never have been taken on that ride! Lucky for him these 6 women made the only logical verdict in the court of law.

The whole event that led to this trial is a tragedy, but the jury got the verdict right.

If there is cause for celebration it's because the juror's, with the evidence presented, which supported GZ's version of events, and in accordance with FL law, did not bow down to any racial, political or media pressure, to convict.

The burden of proof was on the state and they clearly did not/couldn't prove GZ guilty of any criminal wrong doing beyond a shadow of a doubt because GZ is truly not guilty.

Also, having happened in the height of the latest gun control efforts, it is refreshing to see that people still have the rights to self defense in some places. Let's hope it stays that way.

This should have never went to trial but all things considered GZ is fortunate.

Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

I am wondering if George Zimmerman's family is here legally myself. Many on the right around here have also wondered about his family's legal status.

Exactly. Why did he pursue the boy? Was Trayvon standing his ground against an adult who is stalking him at night as he walks home from the store to get candy and soda while talking to a lady friend. Why did Zimmerman follow after being directed not to? It is shameful that the justice system failed us today.

The justice system did not bow to politics and racial pressure. It worked exactly as it should have.

So George Zimmerman did not disobey the police and put himself in a situation where he was forced to use deadly force? Now the rest of the nation thinks CCWers are just a bunch of wannabe cops thanks to that moron.

George received no directives from any LEO. The dispatcher said "we don't need you to do that" and from everything I have read he said OK and complied. Do you have other info?

It's quite obvious you do not know what you are talking about.

You should probably stop posting until you educate yourself on the subject.
