Normally it would be when then object. The defense wanted these statements. They were also real clear to point out that he didn't take any notes and this was from his memory several months later. Then they went over the what if, if forensics said this or that and he was spot on that it would be 100% the forensics.

I don't know that I have seen this in this thread but one thing certainly jumps out as a reminder. Zimmerman's acquaintance's comment during testimony after saying he helped GZ choose a firearm. We know it, but, it is a real world reminder...

"I recommend anyone who is not a convicted felon carry a firearm," said Osterman, who works for the Federal Marshal service. "The police aren't always there."

I agree, the prosecution wants to win. I don't agree that NOBODY wants a race riot. The Obama administration and their media accomplices would LOVE race riots ---especially the media. If the media didn't want race riots they'd stop lying and skewing their coverage and inflaming low information voters . And I'd imagine there are plenty of racists out there, of all colors, that would like to see some race rioting.

The Court opened today with a request from Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda, before the jury was present, to ask Judge Nelson to strike perhaps the most telling blow from yesterday’s testimony from former Investigator Chris Serino.
BDLR argued that when O’Mara asked Serino if he believed Zimmerman to be telling the truth, Serino responded that he did, that such a testament of a law enforcement officer of a defendant was inappropriate and must be struck. He “ambushed” the defense with a detailed motion the State’s office had presumably spent much of the night preparing, and Judge Nelson required the defense to evaluate and respond to the motion while standing in court. O’Mara did the best he could under the circumstances, but Nelson elected to side with the State. When the jury was brought into the courtroom she played the audio of that part of O’Mara’s cross, and instructed the jury that the evidence was struck and not to be considered by them.
This judge is in the bag.

While I've been watching, it seemed as though the defense was presenting their case, not the prosecution. Then I reviewed a twitter feed that included juror reactions to the testimony and evidence presented, "paying attention" 'bored" "taking notes " "furiously taking notes" "attentive" etc. and realized that I was only seeing half the trial. How are the jurors responding to the prosecutions case? Activity was very high when the ME was testifying and again during the "Hannity" interview. Virtually none when the lead investigator was on the stand.

As an aside the lead investigator was demoted to patrol on the overnight shift a few months ago. Not being cooperative?

Another aside, question for LEOs, Is this the way that prosecutors and the state regularly interact with LEOs? If yes, how do y'all stand it? If no, what does this do to cooperation in Florida law enforcement in the future?

Are judges elected in Florida? The question becomes is the jury in the bag? Usually the response from the jury recently is that they personally felt the defendant was guilty, but the prosecution failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was guilty. So they had to vote for not guilty. Here will it be that the defense failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was innocent, so they had to vote for guilty?

Is that a serious prediction? I mean, do you actually believe that's what is going on here.

If so, how are you preparing to deal with it?

Not an entirely serious prediction, and is complete conjecture. That being said I still would not put it past those in power to try something along these lines at some point in the future.

Ever since I learned that Obama's son would have looked like Treyvon, it cemented something for me. Treyvon looked like a thug. Obama is a thug. Like father, like son.

I have no doubt that the real prosecutors who had to try the case probably didn't want it. I'm pretty sure that the police who initially investigated and later arrested Zimmerman didn't appreciate having their professional judgement called into question. The ONLY reason we have a trial is because the Florida Attorney General stepped in, no doubt at the suggestion of someone very high up in the demogogic party who is connected to the White House; someone whose name shall remain a secret, but whose initials are Eric Holder, because if there is one thing that progressives hate is the right to self-defense.........especially with a gun.......especially if it involves standing your ground in a place where you have every right to be.

I can't figure out the judge. During pre-trial procedures, it seemed like the judge pretty much had it in for Zimmerman. But from the little bit of the trial that I've watched so far, it didn't seem so at all.

And if (when?) acquitted, will GZ then be subjected to crucifixion ala LA officers in the Rodney King case? IOW, will Eric Holder then push a charge of civil rights violations by GZ?

As usual, all objections are decided in favor of the prosecution.

Riot for Trayvon facebook page. Someone was wondering about riots and retribution for Zimmerman.

However, last time I looked the page did not have many likes.
