One of them shows me holding the belt with the gun and holster attached. No sagging there! I highly recommend his work. It's first class and well worth the wait.

A&G doesn't list horsehide, but they sound like a good quality choice

I think the quick ship belts are bull only. However, my wait time was only 2-2.5 weeks for custom belts.

I have three Beltman bullhide belts. Two in black, and the latest in cordovan. They are excellent belts.

I have been thinking of getting one of the elephant belts in "cognac" along with a matching key holder.

I also have two Kramer MSP horsehide holsters. They are excellent.

I contacted Beltman. They are mailing me samples of the different colors. They didn't really answer my question about using the Cognac color from their elephant line or doing custom colors. Sounds like they aren't interested in that. They were quick to respond and courteous. They offered to send the samples. I did not request that, I had just asked some questions about the colors. So, A+ so far for customer service.

For what it's worth, I have double-thickness, horsehide belts from both Beltman and Kramer, and even considering it's a third-again the price of the Beltman, the Kramer is a clearly superior belt; heavier, stiffer, and more nicely finished. I've worn the Kramer pretty much every day for about 8 years, and it's held up beautifully.

Thanks. I had been considering the Kramer also. I'm not sure how the wait times compare between beltman and kramer, but if one was significantly shorter than the other that might sway me too. I believe Beltman says 30 days. I had heard Kramer has a longer backlog.

Also, the Kramer pictures of the 3 colors they offer are not great pictures. They all look very dark. I guess I'll email them too and ask about custom colors and getting samples.

In my experience, Kramer has a longer lead time than Beltman. As I recall the Beltman took 60 days.

Update:
Beltman sent me leather samples that arrived about 3 days after I inquired about the colors and custom colors.
Kramer sent me a catalogue that was supposed to show their colors a little better.
I also looked at the others people had suggested (A&G, Bullhidebelts)

I decided on the Beltman and ordered it in Brown. I'll give a review and compare with some of my other belts (Comp-Tac, Tucker, Wilderness, Hank's Amish) after it comes in. With pictures :-)

"rlol"

Belt came in yesterday from the beltman. Nice quality workmanship. New leather smell and a bit squeaky. :thumbs2: The color is nice. It's a keeper. I got the belt in about 3 weeks (maybe less).

:cheers2:
