As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

While I categorize this a win, it is disturbing he would not have known Bloomberg's intent all along was to ban all guns, making them all illegal and hence, he could be "against" all guns. If the man can be elected mayor, I would believe he is smart enough to divine Bloomberg's intent. I know I never had a doubt.

Still, I win is a win. :tiphat:

However belatedly this man is "realizing" this, its still a good thing. His words set the right tone; very few folks want criminals to possess firearms. Its certainly not your average NRA member out there using firearms to commit violent crimes.

One would have to consider the possibility that Morrissey
knew Bloomberg's intentions all along. Then decided to join up just so he could "drop out" and state his position on the whole MAIG gun grabbing plot. :confused5

Evidently new polling must have come in (or he saw successful recall results in Colorado), but at least he's on the right side now, for awhile anyway.

I figured another of them had been indicted, charged, arrested, convicted or paroled.

Pffffftttt!!! He just got an earful from the citizens at a city council meeting, and realized that they actually CARED about their Constitutional rights. So, like any dirty, low-life, lying criminal, (POLITICIAN), he decided to get religion and change his story. Otherwise, no ego boosting re-election and under-the-table pay-olla for him. Hopefully, the good people of Rockford will realize that the only good snake is a dead snake and elect someone who cares about them. BIG SIGH, unfortunately, having lived in Illinois for a number of years earlier in my life, they have likely all grown up accepting the systemic corruption and are too numb to put in the effort to change it. Just sad..... :patriot: :txflag:

Unfortunately, this is likely correct...

I'll take the gimmie, but :grumble

My thought as well. Very unusual for someone to leave MAIG without a criminal record.
