A friend had his finger prints rejected because of poor quality. it was no problem doing the retake. still got his CHL in 40 days Mail box to mail box.
I think when we get to BG under review it hits the FBI Q untill they pick it up. I thing the actual BG check is done in one day when they actually start for that point. Some one correct me if Im wrong!

I was bored the other day and logged a bunch of statistics from what people list as when they mailed their packet to when they got a mailed status update on their CHL. Looks like those that mailed in early part of this year Jan/Feb were getting about a 49 day mailbox to mailbox turn around. Those mailed out in March to DPS jumped up to nearly 70 day average (figuring this is because of spring break and people being out that would normally be there to process our paperwork). April was around 58 days on average. Maybe I'll get even board and throw up histograms by month, and make a topic on the matter, lol.
The good news for all the people that mailed their stuff in May, from the few that have popped up so far, I have seen anywhere from 32 to 38 days for mailbox to mailbox. Doesn't appear that doing the online application early helped speed things up for anyone from what I could see. Hang in there May applicants, looks like the turn around is pretty quick this month. My paperwork was mailed on 5/6, and CHL mailed on 6/13......38 days.
First time poster here just thought I would give a quick update on my status, I took the class back in late Dec because the instructor was giving a group discount type thing (which was really nice of them) but didn't get around to sending off my stuff until May. I did the online app on 5/17 and did fingerprints and sent out my packet with checklist and everything just a few days later. I don't remember the exact date but ill say 5/21 at the latest. Now just today 6/14 it's in the manufacturing pending stage!! I guess may applicants seem to be going by a little quicker than previous months I've read about.
On the downhill slope! By the way anyone else have their TDL # memorized by now? Haha

I'll bet it updates in the morning for you. Its a real test of patients for this process. I remained clam the whole time (I had to due to high BP) checked it once a day.
I emailed my documents on the 5th of may. I still don't have any updates when checking the site and it still says "waiting on required materials".
I called two weeks ago and they said they had my app and my fingerprints but my other documents had not been entered into the system, though I did get an email update way back on the 10th of May saying that my electronically submitted documents had been received and forwarded to the appropriate department for processing.
My question is this: Would it cause any problems if I just packed up my documents and mailed them in? Now that I'm 45 days in with no updates I'm thinking the electronic submission of my documents was a poor choice on my part. Or, should I just continue to wait?

I'd keep waiting. It seems 1 month is pretty much the minimum for the amount of time it takes them to physically receive the documents and post them as being received on the website.

Wife has been in background check status for 10 days now. Would be curious to see their operation or talk to somone about the reason for the discrepancies.

I've known mine for years and years, as well as SS#. Caught several cashiers writing the wrong tdl number by mistake on checks.
Now that I think about it, I sure hope I gave all the right numbers. Surely the BG would have caught any mistake. Sure would hate to be giving all my tax money and SS to someone else.
Just thought I'd share with those that may have a similar timeline...I submitted my CHL application in late May and have been checking for status updates daily. On Monday, my status went from "Waiting on documents..." to "Background Check - Under Review". Today, my status is now showing "Manufacturing Pending". I'm hopeful that means I'm days away from receiving plastic in the mail.
