Comp-Tac Infidel Ultra

Has anybody used one of these yet?

I'm thinking about getting one for my new Shield since it is a smaller gun and I have a need for an easy on/off holster when commuting.

I have a Infidel ( original, not ultra ) for my 5" 1911 and really like it so I got one for my Kahr PM9. It did not work nearly as well for me with the short barreled pistol and I ended up sending it back.

Comp-Tac has great customer service and I have a couple of their holsters. I use the Minotaur for the PM9.

Thanks,
George

I have several Comp-Tac holsters and I picked up this one for my 3" 1911 at the NRA Convention from Gordon that day. I have written and talked to the Comp-Tac folks for different things I needed and always, always got good service and they make a great product in my opinion. The Ultra is comfortable and I like it for the easy off and on when I need a holster for that purpose. Well made.

Thanks for the feedback, that's what I was looking for. This might be the best combination for me for easy on/off and comfort. Does it feel like "too much" holster for a thinner 3" gun?

Now THAT is a minimalist holster! I like it though I'm afraid with my body type the gun would dig into my side and belly too much.

I talked with the Comp-Tac folks at the NRA Convention about my XDsc and the Infidel. They suggested that, for IWB carry, I should get the holster for the full-size XD. They said that the extra holster length would help with balance.

Interesting. Too bad that isn't an option for the Shield since they are dimensionally different from any other S&W gun.
