Location: Wal-Mart, Hickory Creek, Denton County, Texas 75065

Ammo found: .44 Magnum, Federal Premium, FMJ, 1 box, 50 rounds. $33.97.
This was the only box of handgun ammo available.

By the way, I believe it's a Wal-Mart wide policy that ammo is only sold 7AM-10PM; 3 box max limit.

AMMO found today at Wal-Mart in Nac at 7:30am.

15-20 boxes of PPU 9mm and same #/brand of 380.

I picked up 3 boxes of the 9mm at $14.00 a box.

I had never heard of PPU but googled it and it got good reviews. Made in Serbia

Went to the Wal Mart in La Porte about 3:30 PM today and wandered back to the sporting goods out of habit. Found a couple of boxes of 9mm Federal Champion for 11.97 bx and they had three boxes of Remington .32 ACP. One guy ahead of me said he was buying two of the .32 for his Tony Llama pistol. I bought the third on to try out in a little prewar German 7.65 Frnaz semi-auto I got a while back. I was please to see they had ammo that late in the day. Hopefully that becomes the norm sooner than later. They also had a Bushmaster M4A3 Patrolman AR-15 for $897. Probably won't last long.

Killeen, Copperas Cove and Lampasas Walmart may be getting Ammo, but the shelves have been empty each and every time I go in.

Natchez Shooters Supply on the other hand just shipped me 500 Rds of American Eagle FMJ in .45 and 500 Rds to my wife this past WED.. week ago Thursday we received 500 RDS of PMC .45 FMJ each as well from the same supplier.

I was visiting my brother the other day and his neighbor walked over to the fence to chat. During the conversation he started bragging about how he knows all the local WalMart delivery days and gets to the stores very early to wait. He buys it to sell to a couple of dealers who make all the gun shows. From the amount he sells and from what he offered to sell me he's very successful. He even said he and his friends were the reason no one can find ammo. He sells to local LEO's also.

I guess we are lucky around here, our Wal-Mart has a limit of 3 total boxes which I suppose it makes less lucrative to scalp ammo. Plus with wal-marts in this area being twenty to thirty miles apart makes it less lucrative financially to scalp.

I dropped into Academy early Friday afternoon and they did have some ammo. I bought my limit with a box of 9mm Hornady Critical Duty, a box of Independence 5.56 and a box of Monarch .223.

Now if I can find more 9Mm FMJ and a few more boxes of Critical Duty...

No thanks, I just ate. Finding some old receipts in the closest from Academy the other day was bad enough.

I'm so irritated at Cabelas. I ordered all this 380 ammo last Friday. 1250 rounds at about $16 per 50 rds. Also order a brick of 525 rounds of 22LR for $14. Everything is listed as in stock. I'm thinking that I'm set for 380s for a while now. My credit card gets charged almost immediately.

I get an email today that it's all back ordered. Aaaarghhh!
