And your choices were what?
Him or Obama, there were others running for Pres but they had no chance of winning. At the time I thought McCain was the lesser of two evils.
I did the same in 2008, and regretted voting for the lesser of two evils almost immediately. That is why I voted for Gary Johnson in 2012 (Wish I could have voted for Ron Paul though, who I voted for in the primary). I refuse to vote for the lesser of two evils ever again. After all, the lessor of two evils is still evil.

Texas does not count write-in candidates, so your write-in would have been counted as a non vote.

Bob Dole says that the republican party should put up a sign: "Closed for Repairs."

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-575 ... -bob-dole/

UNFORTUNATELY, he says basically the same thing as McCain. I voted for Dole over Clinton in 1996.....my very first vote as a republican after previously having been a solid democrat. It is the Old Guard of the party that has steered us into the current mess by being willing accomplices to democrat perfidy.....all in the name of "getting something done," which has about as much moral weight as "sending a message."

One of the foundational principles of medicine is "First, do no harm." If that means "do nothing," then by gum do nothing. My advice to the Doles and McCains of the GOP is, "physician, heal thyself." One of the foundational principles of problem solving is, "When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging." My advice to the Doles and McCains of the GOP is, "put down your shovels!"

I could go on with the corny aphorisms, but here's a bottom line principle which these RINOs have consistently violated, PARTICULARLY in the Senate. They were not sent to Washington to "do something." They were sent there to represent their state; and sometimes the best representation is to refuse to go along to get along. Ted Cruz understands that and is ably representing the collective will of Texas in the Senate. The Senator from Arizona's opinions in the matter are worth exactly zero. He's not a Texas resident, and until he is, his words have little or no meaning.

I voted for Cruz, and am glad I did.

In 2008 I voted for Palin, but I had to hold my nose and suppress my gag reflex because of the old RINO at the top of the ticket.

Now McCain is on a "secret" visit to Syria, urging the U.S. to get involved in that civil war: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... ls-pleas-/

So does that make McCain an "illegal immigrant"? And can he be put on a "pathway to citizenship" in Syria?
