HB 972 is on the Senate Intent Calendar for tomorrow. It looks like the bill may die by the session ending, which is what the opponents want.

I don't know what happened to HB 928 and HB 1314. Does anyone know if they were brought up? If they passed or not?

TLO says they were both "Not again placed on intent calendar". Whatever that means. :headscratch

There's only two days left in the session. If they're not on the intent calendar tomorrow, they're probably dead.

What was the amendment? Since it was amended, does it have to go back to the house now?

Are you sure? I just looked and it says "Senate passage as amended reported."

Mine says the same now. I have no idea if it has to go back. I sure hope not. I can't see the amendment.

The amendment would allow elected officials to essentially carry anywhere in Texas.

Looks to me like one of the changes was from
"Public employee"
To
"A state agency or a political subdivision of the state"

Or maybe that was an earlier change?

If this is what we are talking about, I don't see where it says that at all.
