Seriously, I'll bet that Tierney thinks that since they have had them in movies for years, they must be commercially available at a cheap price. :banghead:
I know you know better. He wants to pretend they're available and cheap, but he wants them to be expensive, difficult to acquire, and ineffective (non-functional).

Okay...I give. You caught me. Fairy-tale fiction for the masses with 100% accuracy and available to even the poor inner city types that tend to be more plagued by crime, but reality is just the opposite.

I tend to want to assign ignorance to many individuals, rather than stupidity or malicious intent. I fear the reality is that some are simply stupid IMHO (think some well known reps in the House) and the others truly have malicious intent to tear down the country one piece at a time if that is what it takes.
