NSSF Dumps SHOT Show management

Reed Exhibitions provided excellent service to NSSF and the customers of the SHOT Show for more than three decades, however, the company's decision to restrict the sale of certain types of firearms this year at its consumer hunting and fishing show -- an event unrelated to NSSF and the SHOT Show -- was in conflict with NSSF's mission to serve the shooting sports industry. As a result, both organizations decided it was in the best interest of the SHOT Show to end their relationship.

Good. Decisions have consequences... or at least SHOULD have consequences.

I think that the "gun" community has become aware that the other side is playing for keeps and is now getting into the mode to make decisions, votes, speeches and statements bear consequences. For some, they'll go out of business, other will find themselves defeated in runs for office or re-election. Still others like Reed will find that ill-chosen positions impact their actual operations.

It's about time.

BTW, brace yourself for the ineviteable attack from the left over this tactic and effect.

On a related note, the NRA has taken over the Harrisburg show and will be the exhibitor there moving forward. Saw their booth at the NRA Annual Meeting.

As far as Reed Exhibitions, they can kiss my royal red Irish rear end. They are a UK company anyway, so good riddance.

Great. Another annoying UK export to go along with Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell. If Reed Expo has the same attitude as Piers and Simon, no wonder they got canned....
