It only took the first applause before I had to find mine.

She is as much of a hero in my book for having the strength and courage to carry on his legacy even through the tragity and sorow that she has endured.

Well done young lady, well done :patriot: :txflag:

When I see this - the replica of The Wall at the Vietnam War Memorial in Mineral Wells -

I think of the men who's name populates that wall, and also the loved one's left behind. They are also heroes in my book.

My mother's best friend's husband in on the wall, when she was informed of his death my mother did not go home for a week, knowing the knock on the door could have easily have been her's.

Mrs. Kyle is a hero. :txflag:

Classy lady. She asked for those listening to her speech to not think of her husband as a hero, as that is not what he wanted. Sorry Taya, can't think of him any other way, considering the sacrifices he (and you) made for the rest of us.

Not a hankie left after watching that. I am struck by two things; She was a fitting wife for Chris. Her courage and strength and determination to do the right thing matches his. The second thing is here we have a heartbroken woman who is not responding to the tragic death of her husband by blaming the tool used by the mentally ill man who used it. I hope she knows how much we all admire her and grieve with her.

I didn't even get to hear her first word before I started leaking around the eyes. Her comments in his book were touching.

Lord help us all heal from such tragic losses.

Kyle wrote a good deal about her and their relationship in "American Sniper" but this is the first time I had ever seen her or heard her speak. It seems they both chose well.

You should read what the Left has to say about Chris Kyle if you haven't already, as it leaves little doubt of their character and what we can expect from them. If we had fewer lefties and more Chris Kyles we wouldn't be in the mess we're in today.

I've seen some. I think I'd be sick if I read what I know they're saying about Mrs. Kyle. We need more of their type in this world.

What a wonderful, powerful speech. Spoken with true conviction and right from the heart. I imagine there weren't many dry eyes in the audience there.

The NRA isn't a faceless, souless group of lobbyists wanting to kill children. The NRA is made up of strong people like Taya.

As I'm sure you're aware though, the leftist meme being openly pushed now is that the NRA is a bunch of crazy old treasonous (ha ha ha, so much for their supposed sense of irony) White men who hate women and minorities (funny that, as they contend White men are simultaneously a majority and a minority) and own guns as a substitute for manhood (the old irony thing again, as the left has worked steadily to diminish masculinity), who need to be exterminated to usher in the coming Socialist Utopia.
