"There are eight children killed from gun violence everyday in this country,"

This is the quote in the story about guns being marketed to children. "my first rifle"

Where the 5 year old killed his 2 year old sister.

This says two per week, but may not include accidents.

This seems to show about 1500 (accidental plus homicide) a child goes up to 18 on this site.

Eight per day seems to be excessive.

It's absolutely true in liberal-land where a "child" includes gang members up to 21 years of age.

According to FBI crime statistics there were 12,664 homicides in 2011 and 1,187 were persons under 18 years of age. That's 3.25 "children" per day. 430 of those are 12 years old or younger. That's 1.17 children per day. There were 1369 teenagers between 13 and 19 killed in 2011. 828 of those 1369 (60%) were black.

According to offender data 90.8% of the blacks killed were killed by other blacks.

So the 8 children killed every day is a lie, pure and simple. It has no relationship with reality. If there were 8 children killed every day, there would be 2920 children killed every year. Yet, even if you include teenagers there's only 1,187. Even if you included up to 19 years of age there would only be 1799 which is less than 5 per day.

don't you love the way libs redefine the word "child" depending on the topic?

"child" can mean "in the womb" - age 21 if referring to someone being shot; but a female age 14 is an adult if she is pregnant and they want her to get an abortion without her parents knowing.

There are thousands killed everyday in the USA but they don't count to Pelosi and others like her.

You are overstating the gun numbers. There were 12,664 homicides in 2011, but of those only 8,583 were by firearms.

Also, murders of 18 and younger by firearms are only 565.

If you took Chicago, New York, DC and the other large cities that already have laws similar to the ones they're trying to force on us out of the statistics... I wonder what the rates would look like.

And yet I still proved they were liars. Imagine that.
