I agree he should have a competent attorney.
I doubt he does not have the level of funds available to buy his own.
Not really sure where to look or even how much is deemed adequate funds to defend yourself from this crime.
So for arguments sake, lets say he is appointed ONE federally approved defense person from a pool of attorneys in the federal pool of mandated volunteers.
BUT WHY oh WHY doe she need four? And why does a fed judge seek out an attorney from across the country?
I am very very confused

"A federal magistrate judge has appointed a prominent specialist in federal death penalty cases to join the defense team of alleged Boston Marathon terror bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Judy Clarke, a San Diego, Calif., attorney, has the “background, knowledge and experience” that will “enable her to provide adequate representation to the defendant,” US Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler said in a ruling today."

Re: Boton Bomber suspect
Well his life is on the line. You wouldn't just want him to have "adequate representation" when the taxpayers can afford so much better.
Before it is over we will all feel sorry for him. After all, it is our fault not his.
You didn't expect Boton to change its stripes overnight.
