Pogo may prove to be the wisest of uf all.
Amazing how many people stood right there and happily signed what they thought was a petition to repeal the 6th and 7th amendment.

AMENDMENT VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
Amendment VII
"In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law."
I haven't looked for the video, but I think he's done the same thing with the First and Second Amendments.

Its not like they care about what he's saying, even. They're just signing it with a "yeah, whatever" attitude. Its not hyper-partisanship on these peoples' part, its sheet idiocy and apathy. And people keep wondering where the MSM propagandists get these outrageous poll numbers like that "90% support gun control" thing.

Maybe it's just me, but I liked it better when Candid Camera was just a TV show and not a way of life.

I wonder how far I could get with a petition authorizing proper, "R Lee Ermey"-level, drill instructors to follow people who sign random petitions around 24/7 and verbally abuse them until they figure it out?
Come to think of it... If it was a contract that I claimed was a petition, I bet people would sign stuff saying DIs can follow them around... Hmm... this has both comedic and educational potential. I like it.

The mental picture your comment about "R Lee Ermey" getting in the faces of ignorant people like this conjured up the idea that perhaps WE need to become "Sgt Ermey's " in order to more effectively "impress" upon the anti's the error of their ways.............

An army of Ermys. I like it. Ermey's Army. I'm liking the ring of it.
