How Long is Wait? CHL Instructor Course

What is the wait time to get into a CHL Instructor Course?

I've heard as long as 8-9 months.

Thanks.

That's what a friend waited for his class. Do you have the necessary instructor credentials? Without them you will just wait and wait.

I believe that DPS will be having more instructor classes to help with the back log of applications but just a guess on my part. :txflag:

In our April class, we were told that there would be a June class, possible two classes in June, but at that moment there were not enough instructor applications to warrant a 2nd June class. So, I would say your chances for a June class might be good if there have been enough applications submitted over the last few weeks.

FWIW, I submitted my instructor application at the end of January, and was able to make it into the April class. But I know that there were some people who submitted in August/September of last year who were also in my April class. All I can say is make sure you have your required NRA/TECLEOSE/etc. credentials taken care of. Those NRA Instructor classes are beginning to become hard to get into.
