Agreed. Also, the sign on the door specifically says that CHL holders are exempt from this request as long as they keep their firearms concealed.TexasCajun wrote:And that, my friends, is how the free market economy works. They provide the goods &/or service, we decide if it's worth paying for. As far as the signage, that's fairly common with most gun shops that deal is used or trade-ins. Most folks prefer to handle unloaded firearms when evaluating/inspecting them. As a gun store, you'd have to assume that they'd be well versed in the state's firearms laws & if they were truly trying to exclude chl, they would post a 30.06.
I was in there yesterday. I was approached numerous times by at least a half-dozen different employees - and every one was friendly and professional. The two that I spent time talking two were knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the pistols that they were talking about...and I personally observed them providing what I thought was simple, logical, good advice on firearms purchases to some other customers who had questions. I also saw that the manager was out on the floor, checking with customers to make sure that they were being helped.
I ended up walking out with a H&K P30LS....for less than MSRP, and without having to fight to get a fair price.
I won't hesitate to go back again...once my wallet is back to feeling a little thicker.
