H.R. 1474 -- undetectable Firearms?

#1

Post by sjfcontrol »

Found this on Popvox.
H.R. 1474: To reauthorize the ban on undetectable firearms, and to extend the ban to undetectable firearm receivers and undetectable ammunition magazines.
Didn't know they were banned, because I didn't know they exist. There's no text of the bill and no summary. Anybody know any more about it than the title?

I'm not sure what it means.

Could it mean they are going after poly lowers and magazines?

Yep. Complete polymer or composite lowers and magazines is the target here I believe.

Yup. That because, you know, those things can be snuck on an airplane and kill thousands of people with one clip.

Remember, their plan is to kill us with a thousand cuts.

Of course springs in mags, trigger groups and buffer tubes should be detectable. As well as pins. (of course they overlook that to further their agenda).

And barrels/chambers. Oh, and bullets... Even in the hands of a madman, a gun is just a funny-looking stick if there aren't any bullets.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Boolets, maybe, but not so much the casings...

Combined with frangible boolets, and there may not be much metal there at all.

I can see it know. Halfway in to the flight I LEAP from my seat and scream AHAAAAAAA! I am the great right revolutionary and I am equipped with this Polymer lower in my right hand and a Pmag sans springs in my left. I will slay you all!!!

Then from my left there is a ZZZAAAAAPPPPPP and the Federal Air Marshall tazers me and I lay on the floor flopping like a fish! :smilelol5:

No need for Boolets! Just jump up with that polymer lower and yell "This is my BOOM stick! It's an AR15 black, ultra high capacity, undetectable assault weapon with pistol group and the shoulder thingy that goes up!"

That will strike fear in to everyone and they will all cower in fear at your awesomeness!

Obviously they were concerned about the Glock-7
Made in Germany, this firearm is constructed entirely of porcelain, is capable of passing through airport metal detectors completely unnoticed. The only downside to this amazing weapon is the price, which is quite expensive. The real MSRP is unknown, but experts say that they cost more than the Dulles International Airport Police Chief makes in a month.
