7 long months of checking the dps chl website for application status and my license is finally being manufactured as of today.

Long time for an application, isn't it?

What was the reason for such a delay?
Feb 1, 2013 DPS received packet
Feb 26, 2013 DPS finally updated to BG under review
April 3, 2013 Manufacturing pending, April 4, 2013 Manufacturing
April 9, 2013 Mailed ... April 11, received chl

Being a surfer and driving a chevy will do that to you.

I hear there is just ONE lady in Austin that signs off on all the CHL applicants. If she goes on vacation or needs a day off for any reason...all the CHL's get pushed back and hence the long wait. 7 months...man, and I thought my 3 month wait was long...
