It's really pretty simple (and very nefarious.) They WANT the gun crimes to go unprosecuted so they can advocate for more gun control. Of course, if you accuse them of that they'll deny it vehemently, but the facts refute their lies. They won't enforce gun laws vigorously until they disarm us all. After that, every violation will be vigorously enforced. That's the way liberals roll. Wink, wink, nod, nod until they get what they want. Then the hammer (and sickle).

Violations will only be prosecuted vigorously against those they target not against everyone. Point of gun control laws is control of the population not guns.

No surprise here....liberals consider criminals to be a protected class. Now, if they could nail law abiding citizens for having the wrong size magazine, one of those things that go up, or the wrong ammo, they'd be running out of prison space.
