Until you see the license, who knows. He could be blowing smoke just to talk shop. Either way, all kinds of problems with the story. I would not be too happy with my neighbor.

I do not see happening with a Texas Chl, since your submit fingerprints for a Texas CHL. The last time I got a drives license you had to submit both thumbs for printing. He might have gotten a out of state chl which does require fingerprinting.

"I wouldn't admit on the Internet to being an accessory to felon in possession." First of all, I'm hardly an accessory to a felon in possession. And how do you know that I haven't already called DPS? I don't think somebody *smart* enough to admit they lied and broke the law to get a CHL permit should be carrying a gun, for many reasons, felony conviction aside. Also, yes, to the person who asked, it was a serious question.
Thanks to all of you who actually answered the question or gave serious input. To the person who suggested I live in the ghetto and should move...really?

I triple double secret agree. Let me put up the "I agree" flag. I agree with whatever the poster before me agreed with. I thinK it is incumbent upon all of us gun people to agree. Can we agree on that?
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"
