CHLMan......I took the NRA instructor class on January 19-21. I FINALLY got the actual NRA certificates last week. I did call DPS and was told that the course completion form the Training Counselor could give you noting the courses you took and his name and TC number was fine to send in.

I took the NRA instructor class 2/21, faxed a copy of the training card that the Training Counselor gave me, and then sent in my CHL-90 just as soon as it hit the website. (My original instructor application was submitted 1/24/2013). I received an email last night from DPS stating that all my paperwork was good, and that due to some cancellations, there was a spot open in next week's class. Of course, I jumped on that opportunity!!

I still have not received my actual credentials from the NRA, and I was already a member before I took the class.

I signed up for a May class in San Antonio, that has BIT, Basic Pistol Instructor and Home Firearm Safety Instructor.
Now all I need is to get my Hunter's safety instructor certificate and I'll be good for this year.
