Bloomberg: Government has right to ‘infringe on your freedom

Turns out it's the government that has rights, not the people. I guess the Founders got it wrong.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Sunday: Sometimes government does know best. And in those cases, Americans should just cede their rights.

“I do think there are certain times we should infringe on your freedom,” Mr. Bloomberg said, during an appearance on NBC.

That's the thing about dictators, they ALWAYS ultimately show their true colors.

"government does know best".

That's the most angering line I've heard in a long time. Just because a group of your neighbors get together and form a group with power and control does not make them wiser than you.

Nice way to start off my week.

Seriously, this freak of nature needs to be corrected in the severest sense of the word.

More here from Redstate.
Make special note of Bloomberg’s use of “we” and “you.” “We” is he and the other elites, unencumbered by such infringements since they are the ones that make the rules, not the ones that live by them.

There’s a deep philosophical problem in America and Mike Bloomberg embodies it. So many people will look at this quote and say “Well it’s true! There are times! You murder someone, you go to jail right? That’s taking your freedom!”

Watch for those arguments because they are coming and they miss the point entirely.

When a guy like Bloomberg says “we should infringe on your freedom,” he’s not talking about due process or constitutional limitations. He’s talking exactly about what we fought against in the American Revolution. He’s talking about tyranny. The ability for elites to make decisions for the rest of us that takes our freedom away solely because the wealthy few living in their ivory towers deemed it necessary for the “greater good.”

I'm so sick and tired of Bloomberg that I've decided this is my new word for puking. Any time someone tells me a story about getting sick enough to puke, I will say, you bloomberged? 'Cause puking is the most natural response to Bloomberg opening his mouth and spewing his communist garbage. What is WRONG with New Yorkers? Seriously! Do you really want someone in government to decide how much you should be allowed to drink?????!!!!! Wake up!

:banghead: :banghead: :mad5 Grrrrrrrr! I got really mad over that one. I am all about nursing. I have nursed all of our children to two years of age. I think if at all possible moms should nurse. I have also known people who tried as hard as they could and just no dice. It is much better for a child to have formula than to "fail to thrive" and die! Educate moms, let them choose! Most want to do the best they can for their kids. When a mom can't she should not be made to feel bad.

What hypocrisy. All bout choice when it comes to the the disposal of unwanted and inconvenient children, but if don't you dare feed your child formula! Talk about a war on women!

And being lactose intolerant since infancy, I was starving to death, except the times I was in the hospital being fed artificial soy formula.

I think this may have been the problem with King George III, and look what happened to him!

He went mad.

Nanny Bloomberg is just the reincarnation of Napoleon. And like is historical predecessor, the nanny will eventually overstep the bounds of even his most willing subjects and be exhiled in defeat. Men of his stature simply cannot help themselves. Over-reaching seems to come as naturally as growing fingernails.

I still prefer "Pelosied". Has a certain resemblance to the actual word.
Now guess what I call "DiFied". (Hint: you can't and remain within forum rules)
