How much is that AR worth now?

#1

Post by jmra »

With the news that an AWB is apparently off the table, I can't help but wonder what the poor saps that paid super inflated prices for ARs are thinking right about now. ( Looking for a smilie with a dunce cap on it.)

With the blessing of my wife I am keeping mine. I do not buy junk anyways and mine should run like Swiss knife. :hurry:

My BIL only paid about double what it is worth and he feels somewhat lucky he didn't pay nearly triple. However, he's glad that he finally has one.

We all know Feinstein, Obama, and Bloomberg, and others are waiting breathlessly for the next tragic event that will reignite this whole thing times 10. There are a lot of disaffected deranged people in the world and we seem to refuse to do much of anything to defend crowds of innocent people with anything but a stupid sign and a liberal left list of ineffective "feel safe" measures.

All along I felt lucky that I completed my build less than a month before Newtown.
Wish I had bought a lottery ticket too.

I bought a new bushmaster for 950 in the middle of all of this so I can't complain too much. Just glad to own one.

I don't think you over paid at all for that weapon. Maybe a 100 bucks at most... If even that. There were people on gun broker selling those for double that price.

I got one from a friend, hardly used/with red dot, etc,.. Best part was the 8 mags, 90 round drum, and the 1000 rounds that came with it. $2000. I know, a lot. But, I got it and I ain't selling. ;-) I think the prices for AR's might be coming down but the ammo is still hard to come by.

Stopped by Academy in Ft. Worth on the way home tonight. They had a Sig on the shelf for $1259 (very nice) and guy behind the counter told me they sold a Bushmaster within the last few days for $749...
