I have plenty on hand but I still check every time I go to Academy or Wal-Mart. In the last 4 times I have been to academy there has been no ammo on the shelves that I own except 10mm, same goes for Wal-Mart the last 6 times. Granted this was all after 3pm when I get off work but still all the Wal-Marts and Academys in my area said there are still lines in the morning and most common calibers are gone by noon at the latest. I do have to admit that we have no shortage of handguns though.

.40 s&w is much easier to find than 9mm around Houston. I'm kinda glad that I couldn't find a replacement Glock 17 or 19 at the Pasadena gun show a few weeks ago. The Smith & Wesson M&P .40 was on my short list & I found one there at a decent price, so I got that one instead. In the 3 weeks that I've been able to buy almost 1000 rounds of .40, I've only been able to buy 100 of 9mm. Happy hunting. This will probably be our normal for a while.

I'm thinking of buying a 357 SIG barrel there are a lot of places that have 357 SIG ammo.

Academy on 59 & Sheppard in Houston had plenty of .40 as well as lots of 9mm at lunchtime today. I even had a choice between hollow point and jhp in the .40!
