The boycott grows
There are now 115 companies refusing to sell to police what their states have denied their citizens.

Re: The boycott grows
It would be nice to see the likes of Kimber, S&W, Ruger and Glock take a stand, but Kimber obviously didn't hesitate to make their silly Komifornia gun, S&W had no problem with adding the hillary hole to their handguns, Glock doesn't care about our political problems, and Ruger probably has little stake in the issue. I'd bet Ruger would be the first, if not the only one of those four to chime in.

colt, LMT, sprinfield armory, winchester, remington, etc. We need names like that on the list, deprive any government agency from purchasing anything banned at all.

smith and wesson will never refuse to sell to police. without law enforcement sales they probably couldnt stay in business.i dont care what anyone says. smith and wesson guns not very popular these days specially when your talking about glocks.
I will pay someone a million dollars when trijicon is on that list also.

That simply isn't accurate.alvins wrote:smith and wesson will never refuse to sell to police. without law enforcement sales they probably couldnt stay in business.i dont care what anyone says. smith and wesson guns not very popular these days specially when your talking about glocks.
S&W 10K
Their consumer segment sales increased from $297 million in FY2011 to $367 million in FY2012, a $69.5 million sales increase year of year. Their law enforcement sales increased from $44.8 to $45.0 million in the same two fiscal years, a $259,000 sales increase. Law enforcement represents 10.9% of revenue, and total law enforcement sales represents less that the consumer sales increase for the year.
Someone stating "without law enforcement sales they probably couldnt [sic] stay in business" simply shows me someone that doesn't understand business.

More likely they just assumed it without checking the numbers.Jumping Frog wrote:That simply isn't accurate.alvins wrote:smith and wesson will never refuse to sell to police. without law enforcement sales they probably couldnt stay in business.i dont care what anyone says. smith and wesson guns not very popular these days specially when your talking about glocks.

Re: The boycott grows
I have no facts to base this on but I would guess that Kimber would be last to join any boycott.mr surveyor wrote:I'm still waiting to see Kimber on the list
1. They are based in NY, near NYC, and are already familiar with the anti-attitude.
2. The bulk of their designs are unaffected by the new mag limits.
--- I would not be surprised to find out that SAFE decided to pick 7 instead of 6 or 5 specifically for Kimber.
3. I don't see much (anything?) in the SAFE act that causes Kimber any new pain.
4. A gun company that's lived for this long in such an anti-gun environment isn't going to rock the boat unless there's some new pain, extreme pain, for them personally. IMO
Again... this is just my opinion.. I have nothing but assumptions to back it up.
And you know what happens when you assume
