Guess what hunters...They're coming after the guns (your guns), they said, and you believed, they wouldn't come after...

Kinda makes ya go hmmmmmmmmm, doesn't it???

I am beginning to add a little bit more my tried and true interpretation of the Second Amendment...And it goes like this...

The Second Amendment is NOT about hunting, sporting or even "self-defense"...IT IS about defending ourselves from our tyrannical government, period.

Am I gloating??? Nope...

Those progressive communists are crazy. They are fighting a losing battle. 2nA would prevail and all extreme gun banning and grabbing laws would be declared Unconstitutional. Any Junior Constitution lawyer can tell you just that. After Heller vs Chicago, the next battle at SCOTUS, would declare all banning laws and gun grabbing laws as unconstitutional. Regulation maybe still be allowed, but not banning whatsoever!

What we need is more NRA members more united front for the 2nA supporters. :fire :fire :fire

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm all for a united front (force) to battle these infringements...But it was rather clear to me about 5-6 years ago, that certain elements within the pro-Second Amendment community were very focused/with blinders on about their special little niche within the movement, and they kinda pushed their way to the forefront of the argument, and placed us folks who were not necessarily ardent/avid hunters into the wings...I guess our strident activism for the Second Amendment as a whole was sullying their position on hunters rights, where I thought we were all in this together...

I am sure to get an earful about this opinion/observation, but hey, I call it like I see it...But in recent months, things seem to have come together slightly, and now that some efforts are underway to really get the hunting communities bowels in an uproar, I'm kinda sitting back here remembering how it all kinda tapered off, and our community kinda split between the overall Second Amendment champions and the hunting community who tended to ride the coat-tails of our work on the issue...

You are right, we need more folks in the ranks...But at the same time, I am cautious about the fair-weather fans coming back into the fight, just because it looks like their balliwick is under some un-Constitutional scrutiny/attack...

Maybe I am being too harsh, I can dig it, and I can accept the critisism for it, but this is now an all hands on deck evolution, and there is no time for much reminising (on past differences)...I am only pointing out my observations/opinions and am looking forward to ensuring we keep this fight where it needs to be, in the courts and legislatures...Not in the streets...Everyone will lose then...

Remember, in my opinion, and many others it is NOT about hunting, sporting or even self-defense, it IS ALL about defending ourselves against a tyrannical government!!!

All this other stuff is gravy on the turkey...

You do realize that was a 5-4 vote and we are just one heart attack away from those votes going 5-4 the other way?
