I saw one a couple days ago at the range. The guys in the next slot had one. Looked nice and is 15+1, right? He also has a micro RDS on it. I didn't shoot it and it's probably better that way because I can't afford any more guns at this time.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

The FNX is rather neat, I own an FNX-9 myself, and love the fact that like an H&K USP you can carry cocked and Locked (1911 style), Decocked, or Decocked and Safety on. This allows the firearm to enter markets served by 1911 manufacturers, Sig Sauer, Beretta, and others without having to retrain the user too much while allowing them to transition back to their older firearms with ease. The fact it is 100% ambidextrous is a big plus as well. When you consider all of those factors you can tell that FN intended to market this firearm as a duty gun to law enforcement, while providing the general market a rather capable firearm for self defense and competition use.
There is only one other line of DA/SA firearms that I truly like, and that would be most of the Sig P22X series. My .45 Caliber P220 is a single stack but I'm ok with that, while my P226 is a Double stack. You don't get the safety function on the Sigs but then again they were on the market before the idea of a combined decocker/Safety was widely accepted.

How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

I love my Para Ordnance Tac Four and Carry . They are both LDA triggers, with grip and thumbsafety I feel I am ready to go at any time with one in the chamber.

I know I'm in a small group here but I always liked my father's Colt Double Eagle. DA/SA 1911 with a de-cocker.
Hello. My name is Red and I used to carry a .45. Now I carry a 9mm and it's getting easier to admit every day.

Isn't the FNP .45 the same thing?

I love my FNP45. My wife got me the FNP9 for Christmas, so I had to go and get the matching bookend in 45. It's well balanced, handles the recoil well, and fits my hand nicely. I highly recommend as a nightstand 45.
