To the best of my knowledge, yes. After POTUS, its VPOTUS, then Speaker of the House.

No. Impeachment doesn't really do much of anything by itself. It's kind of like a grand jury indictment. After impeachment, the case goes to the senate who then tries the President and, if found guilty, assesses punishment (ie, censure, removal from office, etc). Assuming Obama is impeached, found guilty, and removed from office, Unca Joe automatically gets his seat.

:iagree: so we should impeach them both.

I could go along with that. :thumbs2:

Course, it'll never happen. And, if by some miracle it does, the Senate won't do anything. :mad5

OK, before we get too worked up, do a bit of research: William Jefferson Clinton was IMPEACHED by the HOUSE for PERJURY and OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE. He remained happily in office through the end of his 2nd term. As we all know, he's an ICON within the Democratic party and makes around $275K per public speech. Doesn't matter WHAT Obama does, he's in office to the end of his current term; maybe beyond... Even if election fraud could be proved (and it's certainly true, as some precincts in Ohio had NO votes for Romney), he'd just blame it on some poor lackey in the campaign and trample on. Back in the day, Nixon RESIGNED the PRESIDENCY based on a THREAT of Impeachment. He knew that he'd done wrong, took PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for it, and resigned. We live in very different (worse) moral times now. THAT is what's bringing an end to our dear Republic. Until we are able to fix the morals and ethics of our leaders (and the society that elects them), we will continue on the current path of national decline. Just my $.02. Your mileage may vary. :patriot:

To the best of my knowledge, yes. After POTUS, its VPOTUS, then Speaker of the House.
Theoretically you might be correct, since we did not vote for VP, haven't done so for many decades...The VP goes down with the Captain...There might be some resistance, but knowing the odds of the Senate completing the deal before 2016 is doubtful...

The VP is on the Presidential ticket, so he is only guilty by association, which is ok in my book...Doesn't matter what political party they are affiliated with either...High crimes amd misdemeanors are the only criteria for impeachment that most of us know about...

And do we really even want the cry-baby to accend to that position on an impeachement proceding??? I have my reservations...Something else might happen before any of this anyway...

Another thing, does anyone here believe the current AG will do anything about this issue???

So far, only one Congressman has proposed Impeachement...You know, that guy from S.E. Texas, the guy who, last I heard, is a solid Second Amendment guy, what's his name, oh yeah...Steve Stockman...I don't know if he still lives over there near me and Charles...But the guy has gumption, and political savvy...May have some people scratching their heads every now and then, including mine, but he's the only one I know who has had the guts to propose this...

Hehehe, I got some land in Louisiana I wanna sell ya too...

Ever seen the movie Idiocracy? This is probably where the world is headed.
Headed? My friend, it's already there.

(Actually, I think the problem is a general and culturally-ingrained lack of wisdom, rather than abstract intelligence.)
Beat me to it. Idiocracy should have won that year's Oscar for best documentary.

Please do not mistake my answer for anything concerning a prognostication on BHO being impeached and removed from office. All I did was point out the order to the other individual. I do NOT wish to buy any land in Louisiana.

It could very well be that Obama's November 6, 2012 victory was a fraudulently produced result.

Speaker Boener would have the final say regarding impeachment proceedings. Considering his use of the term "CRAP" this morning in reference to Obama's call for revenue over the sequester issue -he may be moving in that direction.

I believe impeachment should proceed. The notion that you must be assured that the Senate would vote to remove him from office is ridiculous. Let the evidence against Obama be presented so the American people, including the Deomocrats in Congress, can learn what a fraud he is. We might be pleasantly surprised to see the Democrats in the Senate end this national nightmare - if only to salvage their own political fortunes.

It seems that every week, sometimes more frequently, there is another moral, legal, constitutional abomination proceeding from this administration. For the first four years, I believe, most of us felt that his record would condemn him and he would be one and done. Yet the media and the low information electorate ignored the complete incompetence and contempt of Mr. Obama. Now we have him for another term and he is upping the ante.

I agree that impeachment will bring nothing other than a Senate trial resulting in nothing more than grandstanding and possibly political gain for the president.

Richard Nixon was never impeached. His "crimes" were brought to light and he was pressured into resigning. This is what need to happen with the current resident of 1600. All who are speaking of preparing for the onslaught of the various agencies now stocked with billions of bullets, "self defense rifles" and armored vehicles need to be politically active. Writing their representatives is a start. Using, in a responsible and factual way, social media to keep these issues hot. A consistent call for the resignation of the president needs to come from the 50 million who did not vote for him. Last week tens of thousands marched on Madrid Spain calling for the president to resign. We need million to organize and march on Washington to do the same. Make it so the media cannot ignore us.

Many talk about a new civil war. We can avoid a hot civil war, if we fight it legally before the first shots are fired. If civil action cannot force his resignation, we need to make sure that the 2014 mid-term elections result in the control of the House and Senate is in the hands of representatives who will fulfill their oath to preserve and defend the Constitution. They need to be elected with a mandate to impeach and remove Mr. Obama from office. We need to make sure that those who are complicit with him are removed from office via the ballot box.

I swore an oath and there are now true domestic enemies. Many of you have done the same and others share that code of honor even though they may not have served. We must be diligent and zealous in this day. This current administration cannot destroy the Constitution on its own. It can only do so if the people allow them. Tyranny cannot stand against us, if we truly love the freedom we have been given by our Creator.
