Houston area get together

#1

Post by Syntyr »

Okay folks... I tried this once before and it didn't fly but I am going to try again ;)

The people up in the Dallas area are having a get together. Rumor has it they may even have a BOUNCEY HOUSE!!!

Any interest in putting together something similar here in Houston? I have met a few of you locals through various transactions but lets go shooting!

1. Shooting based event?
2. Dinner or Lunch?
3. Tailgating?
4. Meet up at a local establishment?

Throw out your ideas. We have American Shooting Center on the west side and PSC (I am not sure if and how that would or could work maybe a member will speak up. Not trying to overstep my bounds just throwing out ideas here)

Only rule is "No Weapons in the Bounce House!!!" :biggrinjester: :rolll "rlol" :smilelol5:

but how else am I suppose to practice my shooting while jumping sideways through a door technique in a safe manner? In a bouncy house I won't get hurt when I land on the floor.

Count me in. I don't think PSC would be a good choice due to member/guest limitations, availabilty of ranges while other members are shooting, entry and sign in requirements etcetera, but I'm not a representative, only a member. There is a clubhouse/meeting room, though. What type of shooting are you anticipating?

If I'm in the country, you can count me in. I'm also in the west side of Houston

And by the way, I have plenty of experience carrying in a bouncy house! (viewtopic.php?f=53&t=58896#p722945)

I would be interested. Maybe we can do a swap meet at the bouncy house? Whatever falls from your holster or pockets is up for trade?

There was a lunch a while back I missed. I say we try for a repeat.

:iagree: But no Bounce House.

We also need to be considering a Texas CHL Forum get-together before, during, or after the 2013 NRA Annual Meeting May 3-5 in Houston.

I think it should be a TEXASCHLFORUM event open to the general public to not only bring awareness to the forum but also to the NRA and guns in general.

Not sure how though.

I've been to nonprofit shoot outs at the ASC doing clays. It could have big bouncy houses for kids, face painting, BBQ, free gun cleaning service.. Maybe have an area newbies can come and take a quick course and actually shoot a gun down the range... Like a 22 pistol or something fun like that.. Some AR15-22s for newbies as well so people can see the EBRS really ain't that evil.
