Many more mfgrs refuse to sell to Government

Many more companies have been added to the list of those who are refusing to sell their products to those that prohibit sales to the general population.
And a STRANGE confusing message from ArmaLite!

Right on!

Armalite is doing a tap dance. Jerks. They think that we are stupid and cannot read.

Would be nice to see Glock, Sig and S&W join this movement.

I'd be curious to know what percentage of the business comes from government sales for each of these companies??

I asked that question on another thread. It's very easy to take a stand like this if it has little to no financial impact. A stand like this by one of the big three on the other hand...

Yes, it would. But if they are locked into long-term gov't contracts, they may not be able to do this without strong penalties.

Makes it even easier then....
They can make the statement that they will stop selling at the end of the contract term.

I would be ok if the "big three" jacked up the prices so high that they could sell citizens firearms at a reduced cost.:

I will lay odds that not a single company that has stockholders is on the list of manufacturers boycotting New York.

That is why I am asking. I was reading on one forum, from a person who supposedly worked for one of them, that they sold less than $5,000 in the last 10 years to all governments and nothing in the past 7. With this said though, I still think it is important to remind institutions that if you need to order from us, you won't be able to. If enough suppliers stand by this, even those companies supplying $5,000 worth of product won't be there to ramp up and be the number 1 supplier.

I sent several of them a nice email yesterday asking for further information.
Dear Public Relations,

I have seen and support your decision not to sell to governments that do not support the Second Amendment and you should be applauded for this............................... With this said, I think it is important to inform the readers of these articles just what an impact to your company these decisions are. You can easily do this by stating a dollar amount of percentage of business that these institutions is to your company. It doesn't matter if there is a minimal dollar or percentage of business, it's the fact that they know you, the manufacturers are standing up to them. I would appreciate if you would start with me by responding to this email as a request for further information.
