Nope. Don't play video games. Other things to do like shoot guns or fight for freedom.

I wonder how many us over 30, well o.k., over 60 play video games?

Though, to be sure, I enjoy some games...Scrabble comes to mind. Chess, though I'm barely mediocre.

The thought of twiddling a remote to manipulate something artificial just doesn't appeal to me.

but twiddling a mouse and keyboard to enter text on a forum is rewarding ? There are a lot of parallels.
This forum could be described as an artificial town hall, or an artificial bulletin board, like used to be at post offices.
Electronic Bulletin Boards are the precursor to forums.

Every one is entitled to their opinion.
I do play video games, mostly now as a distraction to keep me busy while on my exercise bike ...

If I woke up in the morning with the desire to "fight for freedom" today what would I do ?
I know that if I woke up with the desire to be condescending I know where I could look for inspiration.

I admit I have played video games in the past and Metal Gear Solid was one of them. I quickly realized that there were much better things to do to occupy my time. This is also the reason I seldom watch any sports on the idjit box either.

I notice that the previous poster mentioned this forum. I hadn't thought of that but the poster is correct. Different strokes as the saying goes.

92f-fan,

Yes, I do enjoy making fun of video gamers / facebookers / tweeters / and pretty much anything tech-ish, I don't do. I do admit to having some techno bias of some kind or other...

Cuz, ya know, if I don't do it, well, heck, it shouldn't be done.

P.S. If those who play video games aren't embarrassed to admit it, why are they so defensive when a little good natured ribbing comes their way about their juvenile, whoops, I mean fun games, eh...?

P.P.S. My Granddaughters (12 and 16) play video games right here at my house. Imagine that...

Sorry, I passed the code date for video games around the time I passed 60. Grandson is a whiz, and tries to get me involved, but I have now passed 70, and have no interest it all in any games except when we play tic-tac-toe on home made targets with his 10-22.

I do not mean to sound like I putting gaming down, it has just never interested me.
If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

You, me, and about half of all the males between the ages of 12 and 40 play that one and all the other versions of it! LOL. I mean if you love shooting and guns then COD just makes sense. I am 32 and I don't play as much as I used too but I will admit to occasionally grabbing a 12-pack and pulling an all nighter owning folks in Modern Warfare or Black Ops. :rock"
