As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Scalia explained why he wrote Heller, but wouldn't discuss current gun control limits in Congress and the states. "There are doubtless cases on the way up," he said, adding that limits on what weapons can be owned will likely be part of any new decision. "There are doubtless limits, but what they are we will see."

Scalia, whose legacy decision in the 2008 case of District of Columbia vs. Heller ended the ban on handguns in Washington, D.C., suggested that the Constitution allows limits on what Americans can own, but the only example he offered was a shoulder-launched rocket that would bring down jets.
I think we'll see a reaffirmation of Miller, which will cover military type weapons, with limits on "destructive devices".

I want to know how the SCOTUS will look at infringe. Does limiting the size of a magazine "infringe" on my 2A? Can the government limit how many bullets I buy?

If a magazine limit makes it to SCOTUS and is held to be constitutional, watch out as every state will follow suite.....

I didn't see that "why" in the article. Am I missing something?

Don't count on SCOTUS to support 2A much longer. The Chief is the reason. I have heard some say, let them pass gun control we will just take it to court and win. Remember the Tax that never was...Obamacare? :smash:

Say a prayer for Chief Justice Roberts to find courage and to properly uphold the Second Amendment. I know the NRA would put the very best case together, but prayer sure won't hurt.
