North St. Louis is the worst place in the US. East St. Louis is worse. Cahokia, Sauget and that general area (part of East St. Louis IL) is where all of the 'gentleman's' clubs are. Lots of gangs, organized crime, drug dealers and just plain old thugs. It is a cesspool of the worst excrement you can think off.

Pitchforks and torches come to mind....
So does tar, feathers, and a rail.

88 day wait for the state to approve my constitutional right to bear arms...

That's why I stay out in Collinsville and Fair View Heights or at the Hilton Ball Park. Never do frequent those establishments. The closest I get is when we go to the Social Club when it's paint day. Close to Cahokia is the Saw Mill BBQ place. It's right there off the highway and attached to the trailer park. Not bad food.Keith B wrote:North St. Louis is the worst place in the US. This is one of the major reasons I live in TX again. I moved back to Belleville IL after my medical retirement from the Army in 2004. It too is becoming a cesspool. A fine example of what happens when nothing is done about a neighboring problem and it is allowed to become so common place that it looses it's boundaries and confines. This is also why we shouldn't consead any states, county or city to the leftist anti 2a. It will eventually infect everything around it and spread untill it swallowed everything up.Keith B wrote:North St. Louis is the worst place in the US. East St. Louis is worse. Re: Missouri Democrats Introduce Gun Confiscation Bill
This was is my local home town paper from Missouri today. I posted the first section of the article referncing MO HB 545. Steve Cookson is a Representative from a district close to where I grew up.
In defense of 2nd Amendment
by Steve Cookson - State Representative 153rd District
This week in the state Capitol was marked by a lot of discussion, and a lot of calls and emails, in regard to controversial gun control legislation filed in the Missouri House. The bill in question (HB 545) was filed by House Democrats and is meant to make it a felony to possess an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine. The bill would give Missourians 90 days to turn over their guns or face felony charges.
The most important thing to understand about this bill is that it has no chance of becoming law. The Missouri House has an overwhelming majority of members from both parties who believe in defending the Second Amendment rights of their constituents. The bill was really meant to generate media attention, which it has done, but it in no way is an idea supported by anything more than a very small minority of House members. Rest assured that your state legislature will do all it can to protect your right to keep and bear arms, and we will stand against legislation like HB 545, or any other, that would infringe upon your Constitutional rights.

Re: Missouri Democrats Introduce Gun Confiscation Bill
Years ago, in a past lifetime, I went to a salvage yard in East St Louis with a friend.
He was a tinkerer and had a half dozen cars he was fixing up at any given time.
I was along with him just to chat and pass the time. As it got later in the day, he started
throwing his tools in his bag and was in an obvious hurry to get out. He hadn't finished taking the
last part off that he wanted. I told him I wasn't in any big hurry, finish what he was doing.
He explained to me that he wasn't rushing to get me back, he hadn't brought enough ammo
with him to be caught in East St Loius after dark.
