Abandon The Constitution

#1

Post by Abraham »

Twice in the past week, I've heard someone on T.V. seriously suggest we abandon the Constitution. They offer that it's way past it's usefulness, archaic, blah, blah, blah...

Progressives aren't kidding about this.

They're working on attempting to legitimize this idea with far more gusto than they've done in the past.

Am I the only one to notice this?

No.
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

We should all be praying for the health of our conservative Supreme Court Justices. They are the last of defense.

I have seen the same thing more then once, however is the patriot act is no different just a different approach. Taking away our right is the only thing they agree on the approach is just different.

These Elites that know better than the rest of us... Seems it would be less effort for them to simply move to a place that governs as they would have it rather than trying so hard to change our government. Then again, it also seems like the fruit they have been growing is almost ripe.

I hope that all believers are praying fervently for our land of freedoms where God-given rights are recognized in the foundational documents of our government.

I'm beginning to think that abandoning the constitution might not be a bad idea. Without a constitution, there is no Presidency (Article 2), no Congress (Artice 1), no SCOTUS (Article 3), no federal government. Mr. Obama would just sit in the whitehouse talking to himself, since he would be irrelevant. Same for Feinstein and co. It would then be 50 individual states that could choose to associate with each other as they saw fit. We could then create a new country, sans Illinois, NY, NJ, Kalifornia, Masachusett, and any other leftist leaning state I've missed.

Uh, would need the military to come along with us, otherwise a new Constitution would indeed be created. Don't think we'd like it much.... :???:

Interesting point. I have mentioned the series "Jericho" before, turns out that purposely or not, it was a pro 2A show as in it showed why it exists in disorder and as a defense against a "government" bent on controlling the population (profit was a big motivator). They were bent on rewriting a constitution in which disarmament of the population was a large part. SPOILER (Highlight the text if you have seen or do not wish to watch the show):
The once very political mayor returns from the "constitutional convention" and proceeds to raise the former mayor's "Don't Tread on Me" flag in front of the town hall. Texas was the lynchpin on which survival of the old Constitution and Republic hinged.

That would dissolve the Federal Government which derives all it's legitimate power from that contract.
No more Federal laws. No more Federal taxes. No more Federal spending. No more Federal debt.
The separate States would become (again, in some cases) free and independent nations.
I didn't vote for Obama.
Somebody else did that.

I took an Oath.

I really meant it!
Be without fear in the face of your enemies.
Stand brave and upright that the Lord may love thee.
Speak the truth always even if it means your death.
Protect the helpless and do no wrong!

:iagree:
If enough of the military remembers their oath is to the Constitution, not to a person or office, it could go very badly for a progresive Con-Con con.

Seen it. One of the major figures is played by Gerald McRaney, conservative Republican and Life Member of the NRA.

I hated to see it end but it did have a great ending.
