Where to get 9mm
Well, my daughter came to me yesterday and said she wanted me to take her to the range this weekend. Now, she is the only one in the family that shoots 9mm instead of .45. I asked her if she had ammo and she said she would pick it up before the weekend at which point I started laughing. Long story short, she cannot locate any 9mm. Funny, how even grown kids dont listen. Told her to start stocking up early last year.
Then she asks me what I'm going to do for ammo. Told her I had 2k rounds that I bought last year not counting what I already had.
Does anyone know who may have some 9mm in the DFW area?

I ordered from cabelas online and picked it up at the store a few days later. Other than that, I haven't seen it anywhere.

Here's some 9mm FMJ from bulkammo but they're awfully proud of it .

Call your local Walmarts and they will check inventory for you and tell you when they stock. Then, show up early like around 7:00AM and pick what you want.

Academy
Not sure if your local Academy is the same but ours has gotten 9mm & .223 (and other popular calibers) on the regular trucks (tues., thurs, Sat am's) they are selling it at the service desk and restricting it to 1 box of each caliber per person... They have actually had 9mm and 223 through lunch time each day. I asked the guy at the counter and he though most of the stores were getting a little bit each time.
If you have an Academy nearby, it may be worth a stop on the way to work on those days. (call to see which days your store get trucks in)
The 9mm was all Speer Lawman 115gr fmj. $13/box and there was a variety of .223 weights and types.

Re: Where to get 9mm
I found 9mm at 3 Walmarts yesterday. One off of Wheatland Rd in Dallas had Federal, DeSoto Store off Beltline had Winchester WB, and Cedar Hill off Uptown had Tula. First 2 were about $3 more than a month ago. Tula was the same at $10-11. All stores had about 8 boxes. I doubt there still there. I didn't need 9mm, I have been looking for .22lr but have not been able to find any.

Dangit! I am checking that Wheatland store all the time, but skipped yesterday after I scored a few hundred rounds of 5.56 at Bass Pro in Grapevine. I am down to less than 2 boxes of 9mm (I noticed I was so low after the shelves were bare).

Re: Where to get 9mm
I am an FFL and cannot find any at my distributors so I ordered from Sportsman's Warehouse. I picked up four boxes of 9mm and some 22 WMR. Prices not too bad.
Re: Where to get 9mm
Yeah, I check the DeSoto, Lancaster, Red Oak and Waxahachie Walmarts all the time and have never seen any 9mm since the craziness started. Same for 22LR. Last week, even 12 ga was completely sold out in Waxahachie when I checked.sdmahoney wrote:Dangit! Anyway, I ordered some 9 mm from Cabelas online 2 to 3 weeks ago. Don't know if they still have any, though.
