As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Charleston SC Sheriff needs support

#1

Post by TexasGal »

Charleston SC, Sheriff Al Cannon needs our support. He called a press conference to announce he would not enforce any gun legislation he finds Unconstitutional.

A petition has been getting a lot of support on move on.org to have him resign.
Now there is another petition to support him.
DO NOT add your names to the petition supporting him: Following posts pointed out that the "for" petition was put up by the enemy camp so who knows what they will do with the info. I apologize to anyone who signed on. This was a dirty trick and I fell for it. Thanks for all who pointed out my error and that was not sarcasm. :tiphat:

He needs support from those that elected him.......
Not people from other States. His State Sheriff's Association would be nice to start with.

You wouldn't want other States meddling in the desires of Texas Sheriff's would you?

Yes, he does need support, but I agree with AEA that "carpetbagging" support isn't very useful, and then there is this:

Not sure I want to give my information to those people. They are evil.

I wouldn't put it past MoveOn.Org to put the names/signatures of those who believe they are signing the "Support the Sheriff" petition on the other one. After all, they are really the driving force behind both petitions.
Isn't MoveOn the reincarnation of ACORN, anyway?

No problem.......
You gotta be extra vigilant and read everything twice, looking for diversions such as this. :cheers2:

I did indeed get put on several email lists for anti-gun organizations including Gabby Giffords. I just got several emails offering me ways to support their efforts. I unsubscribed to each one. When I did that, a lovely box popped up asking me why? I have to admit I had some devious fun writing those responses. :evil2:
