Factory sportswear versus concealed means concealed

Here is a lunch room debate at work; one of the guys was sporting a 511 ball cap. The discussion centered on the question, when you see someone wearing a company logo with a gun industry or chl oriented company, do you scrutinize them more closely to see if you can tell if they are carrying? Can you real be "concealed means concealed " if your wearing a 511 hat?

I rather like my Springfield "fear no evil" hat and I really don't think many people would even give a second thought. What do you all think?

Keep advertising off your body and vehicle.

Caps, t-shirts, bumper stickers advertising is not in your best interest.

Why alert thieves or the unstable anything at all about you?

Plus, do you really want to be a non-paid, walking/driving marketing device?

That encourages a different kind of profiling. Clothes may not make the man, but they do make a first impression.

Thursday or Friday, at lunch from work, I see a guy walk in with a polo type shirt on with "Texas CHL" wording on it (I assume that is the name of a company or his company and does CHL classes).
Anyway, since I saw his logo, I continued to scrutinize him, trying to find his weapon.
It was easy to spot (or the holster was), when he pulled his wallet out of his right back pocket and in doing so, exposed the bottom half of what looked like an Infidel Holster.

Had he not had the TexasCHL shirt, I wouldn't have paid him any mind at all, so to answer your question

While driving through La recently, I had a conversation with a trooper about concealed carry. He opened the conversation thus "I see you are wearing a shoot me first vest, it's very stylish!" Has the "photographers vest" become like the ill named "fanny pack" as a concealed carry identifier?

It's been like that for me for several years. Whenever I see somebody wearing one I figure they're carrying. It just seem out of place and stands out a little more than regular clothes.

I'm not much for logos although I do have a few USMC products.(bumper stickers included) The more gun related logos I see the better I think it is, even if they don't carry.
